Grand Theft Auto V (hereinafter referred to as GTAV) is truly a groundbreaking game that takes the open world to the extreme. It not only has rich mainline side quests, but also various activities and events, making you feel like you are really living in this game world. Play a game of tennis, watch a movie, go to a clothing store to see if the stocks you bought have gone up, and even invite friends out for a drink in the evening. After dozens of hours of hard work, I have finally completed the story mode of this game 100% (currently about 3.2% on Steam), and I can share my insights with everyone.
I don’t feel like it took too long, probably because I only did what needed to be done? That’s right, that’s the key. These activities that require 100% completion are specific, and those that don’t require it won’t increase any completion even if you do them. So if you’re just trying to get 100%, follow the list below and do it one by one, which can save a lot of time.
By mastering the process, it can be easily achieved. I believe no one will get stuck in missing a task. As long as you play from start to finish, you should experience it all. Why did I add the word ‘side quests’? Because some tasks can be kept and not done, such as the assassination mission in Leicester. It is recommended to do them after the main quests have passed (of course, the first one is that there is no way to do the main quests, just keep the rest and don’t do them), because all assassination missions will bring about drastic changes in a certain stock. After the main quests are completed, using the high capital in hand can earn hundreds of millions at most.
Although many strategies have been mentioned, it is still important to emphasize here that the route and personnel selection for the final big vote are crucial, because once it is not the best choice, the money earned in the end will be much lower. The best choice is the drilling rig plan, with the gunners at 7% and 6% respectively. The first driver ensures to choose Talina (unlocked through random missions, very valuable, must be done, because only 5% bonus, Tao Aidi’s bonus is too high, while other abilities will result in a loss of 100 million). The second driver chooses the lowest 8%, so that each of the three main characters can receive over 40 million yuan in the end, and the assassination operation is completed. After trading stocks, each person’s money can reach one billion yuan.
Why do we talk about leisure activities? Because these have little to do with the main storyline, and some are even small games, but after all, they are GTAVs. Besides our daily “work”, we still have to live. So let’s list these 42 designated activities one by one and talk about the precautions.
1~6. Three medals were awarded for each of the six weapon challenges at the Armed National Shooting Range.
The six types of weapons here refer to the six major categories (handguns, submachine guns, assault rifles, shotguns, light machine guns, heavy weapons), and it doesn’t matter what specific weapon is used in each category (ordinary handguns or armor piercing pistols, etc.). There are three challenges for each major weapon category, and completing the first one (at least earning a bronze medal) will unlock the next one. In terms of technique, it is probably better to use multiple points to score (continuously hitting the target can increase the score multiple, and automatic weapons allow for one mistake). Many times, you will find that after scoring three times, taking the time to hit the bullseye with each shot is much better than blindly shooting quickly. And the situation is the same every time we challenge, so practicing more should not be difficult.
7~11. Each of the five street races won a medal.
After playing to a certain extent, unlock it, which is actually part of Ah Hao’s Stranger and Monster quest series. Street racing can only be participated in at night. It is recommended to use Franklin because his special skill is to drive bullet time (Caps Lock activated). Many times, even if he makes a mistake and falls far behind, he can quickly catch up with the skill. With his own car, he always comes first in every race without any difficulty. The last race is motorcycle, be careful not to die, it’s not as simple as reopening the race.
It can be done by a single person or multiple people, as long as you are less than or equal to the standard pole. There are a total of nine courts, each with its own standard score. However, it does not mean that every court must be less than or equal to the standard score. What we are looking at is the total score of all nine courts. At the beginning, it is best to finish the first few games below par 0-1, so as to leave more room for caution in the future. If the first three games are all above par, you can start over and finish all nine games, which is actually a waste of time. I recommend using Lao Cui because his strength can affect his level of playing golf, and Lao Cui has the highest initial strength.
You must win one game, but you can adjust the difficulty to make it easy to win. The key is to always run to the vicinity of the ball’s landing point and press the hit button when receiving the ball, using different types of hits to make it difficult for the opponent to catch.
Similarly, it must be a win. Don’t forget that in order to win, you not only need to reset the score exactly, but also have the last dart hit the double zone or bullseye. The simplest way is to keep throwing towards the triple zone of 20, adjust according to the situation, intentionally miss the target if it goes too smoothly, and finally throw into the double zone of 9 if there are only 18 points left. Right clicking can improve aiming accuracy in a short period of time, but the duration is limited and can only be used once for each dart.
The one that cost 40 yuan should be read from beginning to end.
16~18. Each of the three triathlon events won a medal.
Everyone must be roast about the last devil like true triathlon, and after finishing it, you will be as exhausted as if you had finished strenuous exercise… You may be desperate for swimming and cycling in front of the last race, but you will finally start running! have People! All of them! Here it is! Get lost! Da! And then naturally ran to the first place… …
19~24. Six off-road races each won a medal.
The car for this is provided by the organizer (unlike street racing where one needs to bring their own car), so just take a taxi. Similarly, using Franklin’s multiple skills is not difficult at all. One thing to note is that off-road racing at the quarry can only be conducted at night (the icon will turn black during the day and cannot be participated in).
25~36. Each of the twelve flying school subjects won a medal.
Yes, you read it correctly, one by one. So completing flight school almost completes one-third of hobbies and leisure activities. The difficulty is basically okay, and you can also improve your flying skills, which is actually very important because if your skills are not good, it can be very unstable to drive… The most difficult subject among these twelve subjects is probably the one where the helicopter flies around the city. If the speed is too slow, it is easy to not even get a bronze medal. The technique is that WASD and the keyboard must be used together, such as making a sharp left turn with A and 4 on the keyboard, and pressing W and then pressing the dive key on the keyboard (default is 5, I forgot to change it) to make the helicopter move forward quickly. And although the next lesson of this is called Helicopter Charge, we should have already mastered it before taking this course. The reason is that if we don’t know how to do it, we won’t even pass the previous lesson…
37~40. Each of the four water races won a medal.
The racing equipment is also provided by the organizer, but remember to board the ship in the sky. If you climb onto someone’s boat, it will become a boat grab… Water racing cannot use Franklin’s special skills, but these water races are not difficult at all. You can easily start them first (think back when Michael took his daughter on a water motorcycle to avoid pursuit, there were all kinds of deaths - but maybe it was because I was too good at that time).
41~42. Complete all high-altitude skydiving and helicopter skydiving.
Just finish everything, there are a total of 13. Each skydiving site has a parachute collar, and as soon as you get on the plane, you get a free parachute, so you don’t have to spend 100 yuan every time to buy it in an armed country. I think skydiving is still very simple, the control is very flexible, the landing is very precise (holding down the left Shift can land accurately), and it doesn’t necessarily have to land exactly within the circle, as long as it shows that you have passed. The most difficult one is probably the skydiving from a moving truck in the city center (but it’s not difficult to try multiple times), and this skydiving needs to climb to the top of the crane. Remember to save more and don’t accidentally fall to your death when you’re about to reach the top.
So these 42 projects are quite concentrated, many of which are various competitions. I am puzzled why it is necessary to complete these 42 projects instead of completing all 61 projects. It seems that this question can only be answered by developers. So let’s list the hobbies and leisure projects that will not be counted towards 100% progress even if they are completed:
Aerobatic competition (fortunately not included, it feels like the most difficult of all competitions);
Maud’s wanted notice (which is actually more like a mission);
Illegal weapons trading on the ground/in the air (you can only buy the 150000 yuan hangar located in Grape Seed. After completing the series of missions that Cui Fu first appeared in, you basically have enough money to buy it. It’s basically a tutorial for buying real estate. When you lack money in the mid-term, doing these missions can make a lot of money, and you can also practice flying. The runway of that small airport is really incomparable to the other two main airports. Once you are familiar with this, the flight related missions will be postponed, but unfortunately not included in 100%);
Hunting (after completing hunting tasks with strangers and monsters, hunting is basically open-ended, killing prey and sending photos to get money, there is no concept of completion);
Yoga (unfortunately, I did it for so long in vain);
Wildlife photography (said to be exclusive to PS4 and Xbox One, but why haven’t I encountered it? Online, it’s said that completing Beverly’s paparazzi mission is enough. Did I not receive it because I killed him in the end, or did the mission appear too early and I didn’t pay attention…? But anyway, this is not counted towards 100%).
It is calculated based on tasks rather than headcount, and it is also a designated task, so there are many that are not necessary.
1~5. Tong Ya’s towing task
I remember I finished it a long time ago. At that time, I thought it was too uncomfortable to spend so much effort towing and giving gifts without any compensation. Now looking back, the compensation is actually included in the 100% completion rate.
6~9. Beverly’s paparazzi mission
Stealing various awkward moments of celebrities, I feel that some tasks are super interesting. Unfortunately, Beverly was ultimately killed by Franklin for not being able to pay him…
It shouldn’t be missed, otherwise we won’t be able to solve those street racing at all.
11~12. Barry’s Clover Mission by Franklin
Just need to complete Franklin’s task, which is to search for the marijuana truck in a large area. I remember it was parked in the backyard of the factory, with a green sign on the car. It’s not difficult to find, but the difficulty is how to drive this snail truck away from the police and return within the time limit. I usually get off the car and hide in some hidden alleys after getting rid of the police, and then get back on the car after the wanted is completely cancelled. I should be able to use Franklin’s skills more in time. The other person’s task is to have hallucinations and various gunfights after taking a puff in a certain square in the city, but it is not counted towards 100%.
Just need to complete Franklin’s, there are also Michael and Trevor’s versions of Devil’s Exercise, but it’s not necessary just like before.
14~17. Dom’s skydiving mission
Only by completing Dom’s first few tasks can the 13 skydiving spots in Hobbies and Recreation be unlocked. After all the skydiving is completed, it is necessary to find him again to see his leap of faith (mistake) before it is considered complete.
18~19. Collect all 50 spacecraft fragments
Okay， The highlight has arrived. This should be the project that requires the most effort when brushing 100%, but there’s nothing we can do about it, as it’s a mandatory requirement. It is recommended to search for both the spaceship and the letter together, so you don’t have to worry about finding 49 and not knowing which one is left in the end. The social club’s map will help you track them.
It is recommended to use Franklin with a small search tool. After reaching the approximate location of each point, face the tool with bare hands and press LT, then press RT to let it help you find the item. In most cases, it will directly take you to find the fragment (which is much more convenient than looking at the specific location in the guide), but there are also very few cases where it will take you to a medical bag, armor, or a certain weapon… Also, there are many places where helicopter landing is necessary. Remember all the points that require a helicopter and handle them all at once.
All other monster tasks not listed will not be counted towards 100% progress, so I won’t go into detail here.
This time it’s finally not specified, because I prefer to lend a helping hand when faced with difficulties, so I have already finished all 14 very early. Usually, when you are wandering around, the map will suddenly flash and a blue or red dot will appear, which is usually a random event. Tell me a few typical and important ones:
Stealing a wallet: Usually, if a red and blue dot is moving, it means the thief is there. In most cases, he is running and can simply drive over and kill him. Then the wallet will be displayed as a green dot on the map, and you can retrieve it and return it to the blue dot to return to the owner (leaving a small amount as compensation). You can also choose to search for it yourself, but that won’t be considered complete.
Cash transport truck: A cash transport truck is a green truck with the word gruppe6 written on the carriage. It will appear at several fixed points on the map. Generally, when you first see it, it is a security guard holding a suitcase trying to get on the truck. At this point, if it breaks down, the security guard will take the suitcase and run away. If you kill both security guards but don’t see the box, it means it’s already in the car. Use a sticky bomb to blow open the back door of the car (it’s best to stand far and aim with the right and left buttons, then throw it out and use the G button to detonate), and the suitcase will fall out. Generally, grabbing a cash truck once can earn six to seven thousand yuan, which is a good way to earn income in the early and middle stages.
There is a random event probably on the highway by the northern coast, where a group of people want to bury a girl alive. After successfully rescuing her, her father will give you a super considerable reward after a period of time (although it is a small amount compared to earning 100 million yuan from stock trading in the end).
There was also a random incident where a thief rode away the owner’s bicycle, which was the bike version of the wallet. After returning it, the owner left without saying a word. I was very disappointed at first, but a few days later I received a text message saying that he gave me stock tickets worth 100000 yuan for the Animal Ark (ARK)! For those who don’t want to trade stocks, just sell and monetize.
There is also a random event on the west side of the map, where a businessman rushes to the airport. If successfully delivered, he will tell you that the TNK stock of B-shares will skyrocket. You can wait until the end and complete it before the multiple assassination missions with the highest amount of money to maximize the return on multiple assassination missions. I think many GTAV money making strategies have also mentioned this.

The ones that appear directly on the map and can earn income directly or through completing tasks every month are probably the grape seed hangar that many people buy as their first asset. After all the main tasks are completed, even if you don’t invest in stocks, the money should still be enough to buy five assets.
There are no restrictions on the types, if you don’t have enough money, you can buy a bicycle. But first, you need to buy a garage (the location of each character’s garage is different), otherwise the purchased car won’t have a place to put it.
3~4. Find all 50 letter fragments and spaceship fragments
After completing the corresponding strangers and weirdos, it will also be directly counted as completed here. Well… how should I put it? Why is there such a repetition? How important is it to find these 100 fragments that cannot be directly located? Submarine debris and nuclear waste that can be located by sonar cried out in the toilet
After activating the dog walking mode, there will be an additional ball at the grenade position in the weapon bar. Select the ball and throw it out like throwing a grenade. Xiaocha will run over and retrieve the ball.
Usually, a girl’s favorability is maximized through private dance at a strip club, and if possible (yes, not all girls can be invited), she will ask you to drive her home to explore life (mistakenly), so that you have her contact information. In a few days, give her a call and if she’s free, she will let you go to her house to continue exploring life. The latter’s phone appointment is included in the completion rate, but all of the previous ones must be completed in order to have this opportunity. Sometimes doing random tasks also adds a girl’s contact information, and calling her follows the same pattern as before.
This must be done at night. In the evening, there will be some girls standing on the streets near the seaside, thinking about life. Drive a better car to approach her (Franklin’s car is enough, preferably with some funds), and when prompted, you can invite the girl to get on the car by honking or pressing the E key, and then drive to a more secluded alley to explore life in depth.
This refers to small supermarkets like 7-11 (where you can enter and spend a few dollars to buy snacks to restore your life), not the shops marked on the map (and you can’t even pull out your gun after entering). There are usually convenience stores next to gas stations where you can go in and aim your gun at the boss (right-click, be careful not to shoot). He will put the money from the cash register in a plastic bag and throw it on the ground. After taking the money, he will run away. I personally do this purely for the sake of 100%, and the income brought by cash trucks is much higher than that.
This is actually not very difficult, because the bridges are relatively concentrated in GTAV. It is recommended to use the stunt plane called Wild Duck, which is relatively small. But the fault tolerance is relatively low because it cannot slow down. If everyone’s flying skills are not good, then they can use a helicopter. When flying, do not touch any part of the bridge or get wet. Some cross sea bridges are easy and almost free, while others have very low bridge openings, so there is no need to cross any one bridge opening (unless you want to achieve the feat of crossing all 50 bridge openings), because you only need to complete any 25 of the total 50 bridge openings.
The key to flying sideways is to hold down the other directional key after turning sideways (for example, if you turn left 90 degrees, then hold down the D key), which should have been taught in flight school. The location for flying sideways is usually the opening between two high-rise buildings. Just come sideways and fly through the opening. If you are skilled in lateral flying, there is no difficulty.
It’s quite disgusting. Without these strategies, I would almost never have noticed the existence of these stunt cars (because I usually drive steadily and never accidentally drive off the road and trigger the stunt cars)… But now we basically know the rules. Many stunt cars are accompanied by construction signs, mostly rushing down from broken guardrails on bridges or taking off directly from a slope (many on the top floor of parking lots). Generally speaking, they can be divided into two categories: motorcycles and sports cars. Motorcycles are more stable and suitable for situations from high to low (at this time, if it is a car, it may turn upside down), while sports cars are suitable for situations that require long-distance crossing, but if you complete 25, you should have no problem using a motorcycle from start to finish. If necessary, you can also watch related demonstration videos. Many stunt cars require a certain speed to complete (because successful judgment may require you to fly out of the wall and land outside), so accelerate from as far away as possible and charge towards them. I still recommend using Franklin for this, as special skills can be very helpful in critical situations.

13~16. Make a phone call to invite friends to go to a bar, watch a movie, go see a strip dance, and play darts together
It doesn’t necessarily have to be three main characters, such as Franklin and Lamar, Michael and a family member, and so on. But there must be a common feature: after clicking on a contact in the phone’s address book, a “party” option will appear (in the past, when planning a robbery, it was sometimes necessary to mark the location of the fleeing vehicle, that is, click on a protagonist and select the marked location, so everyone should be familiar with this), and then reach the marked point on the map to pick up the person, and then you can go out (at this time, the location of the bar will be displayed, and all places that can be visited will have a colored border like a bar). At least one activity needs to be completed, and the map will show that you can send your friend to a certain point to end the meeting, or you can continue to go somewhere else together. Only the four activities mentioned above are counted towards 100%. It is recommended to go to the bar last, as driving after drinking can be very difficult to control. Because in party mode, friends must be sent home at the end, considering that Dart is far away from the main city area, if you want to save trouble, you can take Trevor there because he has an ending point on the beach coast not far north (which is the location of one of his offices).
